Fluffy Dragons

Fluffy Dragons is a bluffing party board game designed by Luis Alejandro Martinez Flores (Lamf Games) for 2-5 players. Dragons are battling it out with their elemental powers to collect the most valuable gems and hoard it away in their caves. Artwork for the dragons and element cards in the game were created by Alexandros Tsarmantidis.

Players have a card for each element kept secret in their hand, matching locations on the board. Each player has one element played face-up during setup, which is unavailable for the first round.

In turn order, players select their element and play it face-down beside their unavailable element. This element will become unavailable in the next round.

Then they place their dragon pawn onto the board declaring which element they just played. This is where you may want to bluff to encourage other players to choose a different element to attack your dragon.

If players think you are lying about which element you played, they can bet up to two of their gems by placing them on your card. If they correctly spot your bluff, they will steal the same amount of gems from you. If you played honestly, the bet gems will be added to your cave. Pulling off a bluff without any player noticing will earn you even more gems.

Once all cards have been played and bluffs called, cards are revealed and the dragon pawns are moved to the location of the element card played. Attacks are then resolved using a rock-paper-scissors style mechanic where each elements defeats the two elements clockwise from it, and loses to the two behind it. Defeating a dragon with an attack earns you a gem from their cave.

Lost treasures are the most valuable gems and will be placed out on the board during the game. If you are at a location with lost treasures, your dragon will claim them.

At the end of the game, gems from your opponents are worth more than your own gems and complete sets of the different player colors will earn extra points. The dragon with the most valuable cave of treasures wins the game.
